The Sacramento LPC is
pleased to announce the publication and release of "Promoting
Excellence in Child Care and Education: A Strategic
Plan for Child Care Development in Sacramento County
- 2007-2012."
The Plan outlines issues affecting child
care services and availability in Sacramento County,
and presents recommendations for addressing those issues
over the next five years. The Plan includes sections
on consumer perceptions and expectations of child care
services, child care supply and demand, workforce development,
quality initiatives and community collaborative measures.
The Plan also identifies funding priorities for state
contracted child development and preschool programs.
2007-2012
Child Care Priorities
A public hearing was held February 8, 2007 and written
comments were accepted through March 20, 2007. Following
are the minutes from the hearing, as well as the presentation
materials.
