Funding Opportunities

Following are funding sources for child care programs:

• California Department of Education, Child Development Division
  • Subsidized General Child Care and Development. Funds are available for agencies that wish to acquire a California Department of Education General Child Care and Development contract. General child care and development programs provide child development services for low-income children from birth to age 13 and older children with exceptional needs. Deadline to file a letter of intent to apply, November 21, 2007.
  • State Preschool Program. Any agency willing to provide State Preschool direct services may apply for this funding. State Preschool programs provide comprehensive developmental programs for three- to five-year-old children from low-income families. The deadline to file a letter of intent to apply was November 14, 2007.
